As many of you know, we've been doing less gigs at venues and more and more in peoples houses. We absolutely love them!
Playing house concerts has had huge benefits to us as in a way that gigging in venues (on the most part) just can't do.
Firstly, It helps us grow our community faster, gets more signups on our email list, we sell more CD's and generate more income which is obviously good when you're self employed as musicians!
But secondly, and more fundamentally important, we've found that the usual performer/listener barriers that are so often in place at venue gigs just aren't there at the intimate, relaxed house concerts. We get a totally genuine connection with people that is unique to that night, in that persons house, with those particular people. Its really quite special and a really honest experience for everyone involved.
We're relatively new to the concept of house concerts in comparison to other artists who have been gigging them for years, but we're already adapting what we do and each concert is very different, mostly due to the fact that every host is different and brings their own unique feel to the night.
Host a house concert!
Get in touch!! We'd love to do a show at your house!
Send us an email or get in touch on Facebook or even better sign up to our email list!
Family friendly house concerts!
If you'd like to host a family friendly house concert, with (fairly!) well behaved kids,
then get in touch! We have three young kids, and are doing more kid-friendly house concerts this Summer, to get them
and other kids more involved in music with their parents/grandparents. Get in touch if you'd like to know more!
Wonder what house concerts sound like?
Take a listen to any of our acoustic recordings, all our house concerts are stripped back with either just the two of us on
guitar and vocals, or a slightly fuller lineup with some percussion and backing vocals.
